The plastering, tiling and bricklaying school of excellence is a training school for the construction industry.  Our courses have been specifically designed to teach a good knowledge of skills to a professional level in a short period of time. 

Our Plastering training courses are designed to give each student maximum individual attention and are suitable for anyone.  No previous experience is necessary.  You may feel like a change in your career, are looking at property development or you may just want to learn a new skill.  Whatever your reason you will find our courses rewarding both personally and financially.

The training is carried out by City and Guilds qualified and experienced craftsmen with an excess of 30 years practical experience between them.  Our tutors have spent their working lives in the construction industry.  As a result our students can be assured that they will leave the course fully equipped with the tools, skills and confidence that they can take on any plastering, tiling or bricklaying job and happy with the money and time that they have invested in the course. We are confident that our courses are the best quality and value for money available.

Weekday Courses

Weekday courses start every Monday and run through until Thursday from the hours of 9.30am until 3/4.30pm.

Weekend Courses

We recognise that it may be difficult to attend the weekday courses due to other commitments.  The weekend courses allow you to attend Saturday and Sunday over two consecutive weekends from the hours 9.30am until 3/4.30pm.  This will avoid loss of earnings and disruption to your working week.

All courses consist of mainly practical work with no written work or exams.  Tools and techniques will be explained and demonstrated thoroughly.  At the beginning of the course you will be given a selection of quality tools to take away with you. The tool packages have a R.R.P £49.99. 

Plastering Courses

The plastering, tiling and bricklaying school of excellence is a training school for people who want to join the construction industry. Our plastering courses have been designed so that you will leave with the confidence and knowledge of plastering techniques, enabling you to start your own business venture. You may want to complete a plastering course because you want to refresh your current knowledge of plastering, maybe it’s a hobby you’d like to take up so you can work on your own home, or maybe you want a change in career.  Whatever the reason, you are more than welcome at our plastering school of excellence.

Bricklaying Courses

At our school we also offer bricklaying courses. Bricklaying is an essential and adaptable skill to have when working in the construction industry. Bricklayers will constantly be in demand where ever you are. Whether it be a large job, or a small job, building a house or building a garden wall, bricklayers will always be in demand and kept busy. Our bricklaying courses are open to anyone - regardless of age, gender and previous bricklaying experience you will certainly be accepted into our school.

Tiling Courses

Another course available at our school is Tiling. Completing a tiling course would be very beneficial financially as tiling is very important in the construction industry. Wall and Floor tiling is extremely popular in households but also in offices, retail shops, schools etc. So you can imagine how much work is out there for tillers. If you are interested in learning to tile then our tiling courses are suitable for you. Whether you want to start a new career, carry out work on your own home or for friends and family or simply to build on your current knowledge of tiling. On completion of the tiling course you will have the knowledge, skill and confidence in tiling to enable you to achieve this .

At the end of the course you will receive The Plastering, Tiling and Bricklaying school of excellence Certificate of Completion, the tools used on the course, a reference DVD, a printed manual and a self-employment starter pack. We will also provide you with a portfolio of your work this may assist you gaining employment at a later date.  After you have completed the course please feel free to contact us at the school at anytime either by phone or email should you need any advice on any work you are attempting or problems you might come across.

Working clothes are essential for both courses and are not provided.  Please come prepared with overalls or any old clothes.  Please wear steel toe cap boots if possible or shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty.  Safety equipment and the necessary tools and materials will be provided.
